Playing Keno is almost as easy as playing the lottery. All you have to do is pick your numbers and then wait to see if they come up in the drawing (See The Rules and the Games for more particulars on different choices you have.)
Get a Keno Ticket: Place in front of you a blank Keno ticket, whether a paper one from a real-world casino or an electronic form from an online casino.
Fill in the Ticket: Decide on and clearly indicate on the ticket how many numbers or different sets of numbers you want to play from the 80 on the ticket; which numbers you’re selecting; how many games (individual number drawings) in which you want to bet those numbers; and your price (bet) per game.
Pay Your Bet: Based on the number of games you’re playing and your bet per game, figure and pay your total bet.
Get Your Duplicate Ticket: You’ll receive a ticket that confirms your numbers, the serial numbers of the games in which you’re playing them, and the total bet you paid.
Wait and Watch: Wait for the next game in which you’ve bet. Watch the 20 numbers drawn as they appear on the display board. Check your card to see if enough of your numbers match to make you a winner.
Check Your Catch: Count up how many of the numbers you chose match those that were drawn, which is known as your “Catch.” How many numbers you’ve caught out of how many you picked determines if you’re a winner, and how much you’ve won. (See The Odds for a chart that indicates your odds of catching various numbers of spots per number played, and the individual casino to see how many you have to catch per number played to break even or win money.)
