Always remember that in Keno, no matter how skillfully you play you cannot in any way increase your odds of winning (see The Odds). Your goal should always be to realize that you are playing for the fun and excitement of a possible win. To do so, remember the following:

• Each Drawing is Random: Despite how it may seem, there are no streaks in Keno. The fact that a number hasn’t been drawn in several previous games does not increase its likelihood in the next; the fact that it has appeared in a streak of games does not mean it will or won’t in the next one.
• There Are No Lucky Combinations: Play your age, your birthday, your anniversary, or whatever lucky numbers you have. But remember: You’re counting on them for luck, not out of skill. If you like, and it makes the game more enjoyable, keep playing the same numbers; maybe they’ll come up in the next game, and maybe they won’t. As a catchy California Lottery slogan once said, “What if your numbers won without you?”
• Know How to Play: Play practice games, often found online, if you can, to increase your ease and pleasure if and when you start playing for money.
• Know the Rules, Types of Games, and Odds: Always realize that types of tickets or bets that lead to bigger winnings also diminish your chance of winning.
